Why use the Park & Ride?

Please tell us what you think about our website, we welcome your feedback.

  • It’s easy – with five sites surrounding the city serving all the major routes into Salisbury
  • Great value – just £2.50 for all day parking and bus use or £3.50 if you're travelling in a group of up to four people. Further discounts are available with multi-journey tickets
  • Less stress – no city centre driving or searching for a parking space
  • Better for everyone – reducing the number of cars in the city centre helps to protect our historic city
  • All car parks are also covered by Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), and have the Park Mark Safer Parking Award

The Park & Ride system is a key part of Wiltshire's Local Transport Plan

It aims to:

  • Encourage car users to utilise public transport for at least part of their journeys.
  • Help to reduce traffic congestion on radial routes into Salisbury.
  • Reduce air pollution and carbon emissions.
  • Reduce the impacts of traffic in central Salisbury such as noise and visual intrusion.
  • Reduce the need for long stay public car parking in central Salisbury, freeing up spaces for short-stay retail parking and allowing land to be released for new development.
  • Support the long term growth of Salisbury.
