Roads, highways and pavements
We provide a range of services to maintain and improve Wiltshire'ss roads, highways and pavements.
Almost the entire road network in Wiltshire is looked after by Wiltshire Highways, working in partnership with our term maintenance contractor Ringway Parkman.
In addition to routine highways maintenance which includes surface treatment, the authority ensures that the public highway is free of obstructions and in a condition which allows the safe passage of people and goods. In order to enmsure the network is in a safe condition and to monitor it's condition, the council implements a regular programme of inspections of the highway by way of a safety team. We also provide out-of-hours cover for dealing with emergencies together with a winter maintenance plan for delaing with ice and snow.
