In addition to the services provided to Solicitors and Licensed Conveyancers (via Local Land Charges), you, as a private individual may, by appointment, examine information held in the Highway Records Section. The following list of Highway Records information details where records required to answer the Con29R and Con29O can be obtained.
Appointments
Personal search appointments can be made between the following hours:
- Monday to Thursday 10.00am - 12.00pm then 2.00pm - 4.00pm
- Appointments may be made for 1 hour (maximum per day) or 30 minutes (minimum).
Records referred to in the table named above can be viewed at the address below. We operate an appointments system on a 'first come, first served' basis. We ask that you book at least 24 hours in advance, but not more than 1 week ahead, by telephoning on one of the numbers below. We will make every effort to comply with your request for early access to the records, but there may be occasions where, due to high levels of demand or other reasons, this is not practicable. In these cases you will be advised of the reasons and an alternative date suggested. If you are unable to make the appointment, please let us know. Please observe any time restriction that may be attached to your appointment.
Please telephone to make an appointment and provide:
- The name of the person or company who will be carrying out the personal search.
- The address, the number of searches to be undertaken and the information required. This should be faxed to 01225 713981 or emailed to highwayrecords@wiltshire.gov.uk, 24 hours prior to the appointment time.
- Appointments may not be made further than 1 week in advance.
