After several months of hard work phase 4 of the Melksham Town Centre enhancements is finally complete.
The work has seen the complete refurbishment of Church Street with the implementation of a loading bay, new paving, kerbing and street furniture. The existing trees outside the Masonic Hall have been replaced with new trees and a planting bed with shrubs has been created. The existing traffic signals at the junction with High Street have been replaced and linked to the pedestrian crossing near Avon Place. We hope you like the improvements made. The last outstanding item, the installation of the railings outside the CM3 shop will take place during the next few weeks. We appreciate that the work has at times been disruptive and inconvenient and we would like to take this opportunity to say thank all road users, local residents and traders for their continued patience and support during the works. A selection of ‘before and ‘after photographs are shown below.
