Examination
Following the close of the public hearing sessions in April, our Inspector - Steven Lee having considered the representations made about the Plan including the contributions made during the hearing sessions has written to us with his post hearing findings and advice. The letter sets out his preliminary advice about the next steps that will need to be undertaken to make the Plan sound. This will involve preparing, appraising and consulting on further Main Modifications as set out in his letter. Please note that this is the Inspector's initial advice and not his final conclusions that will be contained in his report in due course. The Council has welcomed the Inspector's letter. In response (opens new window), a schedule of Further Main Modifications has been prepared to address the points set out in his letter. A six week period of consultation on the Further Main Modifications will run from 9am Thursday 12 September until 5pm 25 October 2019..

The Inspector's Report will be presented to Cabinet on 4 February. Subject to Cabinet endorsing the Inspector's recommendations, Council will be asked to adopt the WHSAP on 25 February.
Wiltshire Housing Site Allocations Plan - Consultation on Further Main Modifications
Following the Examination in Public (April 2019) the Inspector wrote to the Council on 10 June 2019 with his post hearing findings and advice. In response to his letter the Council are now consulting on a Schedule of Further Main Modifications (FMMs).
Consultation on the Schedule of FMMs, along with the Revised Sustainability Appraisal and updated Addendum to the Habitats Regulation Assessment are published for a 6-week period of consultation starting 9am Thursday 12 September until 5pm 25 October 2019.
Hearing Sessions Venue and Timetable
Hearing Sessions commenced on Tuesday 2 April 2019 within The Civic Centre, St Stephen's Place, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8AH.

The Inspector issued version 6 of the Programme which included participants for each Hearing and allocated an additional day to consider sites removed from the Plan by the Council at the Focussed Change Stage.
