The parts of the historic environment that have significance because of their historic, archaeological, architectural, social or artistic interest are called heritage assets.
Wiltshire has a very rich heritage ranging from pre-historic monuments, such as Stonehenge, to links with the industrial revolution, including canal and railway structures.
