Shortcuts for aggregate minerals site allocations

The Wiltshire and Swindon Aggregate Minerals Site Allocation Development Plan Document (DPD) will provide detailed local expression to the Minerals Core Strategy in terms of formally identifying land for future aggregate mineral working and aggregate recycling facilities.

Proposed Submission Draft Aggregate Minerals Site Allocations DPD

The Proposed Submission draft Aggregate Minerals Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) sets out firm proposals for locating new sand and gravel sites across the Plan area of Wiltshire and Swindon.

The draft plan represents the final key document within the current Wiltshire and Swindon Minerals and Waste Development Framework and has been prepared to supplement the adopted Minerals Core Strategy. It identifies sites that the councils believe have the best potential to deliver sufficient sand and gravel resources to meet requirements until 2026.

Proposed submission draft consultation

The council consulted on the PDFProposed submission draft aggregate minerals site allocations DPD January 2012 proposed submission draft of the Aggregate Minerals Site Allocations DPD 8mb  between 9am on Monday 30 January 2012 and 5pm on Monday 12 March 2012.

This final round of formal consultation provided the opportunity to comment on the soundness of the plan before it is submitted, subject to Council approval, to the Secretary of State in the Summer of 2012 for independent examination and scrutiny.
