Introduction
The Waste Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) will build upon policies in the Wiltshire and Swindon Waste Core Strategy and identify broad locations for future waste management facilities. It will also link to the Aggregate Minerals Site Allocations DPD with regard to providing sites for aggregate recycling facilities.
The document plans for the period up until 2026, in line with the Waste Core Strategy timeline. The policies and proposals will be regularly reviewed in published Monitoring and Implementation Plans and the Annual Monitoring Report (AMR).
The Waste Site Allocations DPD will cover the county of Wiltshire and the borough of Swindon. It should be in conformity with the Wiltshire and Swindon Structure Plan, the South West Regional Spatial Strategy and the Waste Core Strategy.
