Consultation on the Preferred Options stage of the South Wiltshire Core Strategy Development Plan Document (DPD) has now closed

Background

The Preferred Options ("Black Book") stage of the South Wiltshire Core Strategy DPD ran between 28 February 2008 and 11 April 2008. This built upon the initial Our Place in the Future consultation, which took place in the Summer of 2007.

Report on Consultation Responses

A copy of the final report on the responses to the consultation on the Preferred Options stage of the South Wiltshire Core Strategy is available to download below. Parts of this report have been updated to take into account responses received during the revised Preferred Options consultation, held between September and October 2008.

Appendix 1

Appendix 1 provides a summary of each of the preferred options that were included with the consultation document and is available to download below.

Appendix 2

Appendix 2 contains a list of all the people and organisations which responded to the consultation. This list has been sorted by surname and initial and will enable interested parties to identify the unique reference number. The unique reference number can be used to trace a persons comments and the officer response. In order to assist in identifying the unique reference numbers, this list also contains postcodes. A copy of Appendix 2 is available to download below.

Appendix 3

Appendix 3 holds the same information as that in appendix 2 but has been sorted by unique reference number. Again this includes a list of the surnames, initial and postcodes of all to the respondents to the consultation. Appendix 3 is available to download below.

Appendix 4

Appendix 4 shows the responses made to the consultation and the response from officers. The table has been sorted by paragraph number, map/table number and preferred option number. The information can be crossed reference with the information in appendix 2 and 3 to find out who has made the comments. Appendix 4 is available to download below.

Appendix 5 holds the same information as appendix 4 but has been sorted via unique reference number. Again the table can be crossed referenced with the information in appendix 2 and 3 to find out who has made the comments. Appendix 5 is available to download below.

Finding your unique reference number

Use Appendix 2 to find your unique reference number by reading down the alphabetical list of names. It should be noted that there are a few instances where the same person has more that one reference number. This means that you may have to check the records against both references. Use Appendix 5 to locate your comments and any officer comments given. This appendix has been sorted by reference number.

Finding out what’s been said about a particular option

Comments on a particular preferred option can be checked by using the table in appendix 4 which has been sorted via paragraph, map/table number and preferred options number. If someone else’s comments interest you and you want to find out who made the representation, check the reference number against the list in appendix 3.

Consultation Paper

A copy of the Preferred Options consultation paper, which went out for consultaton between 28 February and 11 April 2009, is available to download below, along with the comment form, a Statement of Proposals Matters, a Soundness Self-Assessment document and some Frequently Asked Questions.

What happened next?

Following this Preferred Options consultation, it was resolved by the former Salisbury District Council that further discussion and consultation should take place. A revised prefered options magazine, again entitled Our Place in the Future, was produced and this launched a third phase of consultation, which took place in the Autumn of 2008, that asked specific questions about the issues that you thought we needed to do more work on.
