Consultation on the new Our Place in the Future consultation stage of the South Wiltshire Core Strategy Development Plan Document (DPD) has now closed

Background

This third phase of consultation in the preparation of a Core Strategy for South Wiltshire ran from 1 September 2008 until 24 October 2008 and follows on from the Preferred Options ("Black Book") consultation, which was held in the Spring of 2008. The original Our Place in the Future consultation took place in the Summer of 2007.

Following the previous Preferred Options consultation, it was resolved by the former Salisbury District Council that further discussion and consultation should take place. This revised prefered options magazine, again entitled Our Place in the Future, asked specific questions about the issues that you thought we needed to do more work on.

Report on Consultation Responses and Methodology

Consultation Document

Having analysed the comments received so far , this new, simplified magazine set out our proposals and gave you another opportunity to have your say about a range of important issues. A copy of the new Our Place in the Future magazine is available to download below, along with a Statement of Proposals Matters.

What happened next?

We redrafted the Preferred Options document, taking into account all public representations to ensure we have listened and responded properly, and prepared a Submission Draft version of the South Wiltshire Core Strategy, which will undergo another formal public consultation during the summer of 2009 before being submitted to the Secretary of State later in the autumn of that year.
