Introduction

The Wiltshire Core Strategy Consultation Document was consulted on during the summer of 2011 and sets out how Wiltshire will provide the new jobs required by our economy and the new homes for our growing and ageing population whilst protecting Wiltshire’s natural environment and strengthening our communities.

The document was shaped by previous consultations,and was the first time the draft strategy and policies that will manage how Wiltshire develops were brought together for consideration and comment by the wider community.

All comments received during the consultation have now been used to develop the draft core strategy.

How to comment

Individuals and organisations were able to respond to the consultation on the emerging Wiltshire Core Strategy by either:

• entering their comments online on the consultations portal, or
• completing and returning a response form, either by email or post, using the contact details at the bottom of the page.

The consultation ran from 9am Monday 13 June until 5pm Monday 8 August, 2011.
