Wiltshire Council provides household waste and recycling collection for all domestic properties in Wiltshire with the exception of Swindon.

Your household waste and recycling collections are:

• Household waste wheeled bins (or approved household waste/labels for black sack collections)
• black recycling boxes
• plastic bottle and cardboard recycling bins (or approved plastic bottle and cardboard bags)

• garden waste recycling bins (or approved garden waste bags)
• clinical waste or sharps boxes

Please make sure your bin or bags are out before 7.00am. Your bin or bags may be collected at a different time than usual on your normal day of collection due to roadwork's, lorry breakdowns, a change of route or crew, or other unexpected events.

Before reporting your bin as being missed, please make sure you have:

• put your bins or bags out on the correct collection day
• please check your online calendar for collection dates
• your bins or bags were placed out for collection by 7am on the day of collection
• bin lid is closed
• you used only approved bins, bags or labels
• the correct waste or recycling was placed in each type of bin, bag or box

Bins, bags or boxes will not be collected if they contain commercial waste, hazardous waste, or are too heavy to be safely moved by the crew.

How to report a missed collection

If you have followed all of the guidance regarding bin collection and your bin was still not collected, please use our missed rubbish or recycling bin collection form or contact your local office.
