Wiltshire Council operates a kerbside black box recycling service. Each household is issued with one black box to allow them to recycle a variety of materials including metal, paper, glass and textiles. If you are unsure what you can put in your black box, please check  the full list of the types of items we collect for recycling

Guidance for using your black box

• Please rinse out all jar, bottles, tins and foil.
• Please place your black box kerbside for collection by 7am on the day of collection.
• If you black box is full, please bag items separately in carrier bags with the handles left untied, and place them next to your black box for collection. Please do not use black bin bags for extra recycling as this will be mistaken for rubbish and not collected.
• If you regularly have extra recycling, we are happy to issue you with a second black box for your household. Please use our new bin request form to order your second black box.You can also use this form if your bin or box has been lost or stolen and you need to order a replacement.

In some parts of Wiltshire you may also be entitled to a kerbside cardboard and plastic bottle recycling collection.
