What can I put in my black box?

As a rule of thumb, any aluminium foil that you can crunch up in your hand and it stays crunched up, can be recycled. Examples include yogurt tops, baking foil, takeaway trays.

If aluminium foil springs back into shape when crunched, it cannot be recycled as it means it has a small amount of plastic in it.

Most pet food foil packs, crisp packs and metallic sweet wrappers contain plastic cannot be recycled.

Please bag your clean textiles separately to keep them dry.
