Where and when do I put my box out?

To check your collection dates please see the online collection calendar. Please ensure that your box is placed at the edge of your property, at the kerbside. All boxes must be out by 7am.

Please note, all collection crews across Wiltshire now work bank holidays. The only bank holidays whereby collections may have to change is over the Christmas period.

Can I have a second black box?

If you cannot fit all your recycling into one black box, you can have a second box delivered, free of charge. You can also put separated recycling in carrier bags next to your box for collection.

What happens to the recycling once it is collected?

All the materials collected are collected separately on a special vehicle and then taken to a materials recycling facility in the Calne area in north Wiltshire, where they are baled or ‘bulked-up’ and transported to reprocessing sites for recycling. The materials are then transformed into new products.
