Taking part

Registration for the veteran's parade has now closed

There are great ways for you, and your community, to get involved in this year's national event. Here are three of the community projects but there are also other ways to take part in this spectacular three-day event in Salisbury.

Perhaps you'd like to join us on the Sunday afternoon (30 June) to help us go for a world record as we bid to create the largest ever human poppy. We're aiming to set a new world record with more than 4,000 people. We'll be telling you soon how you, and your families and friends, can register to take part.

Take part in our photographic project and your image could become part of a county wide collage. Just take a photo that reflects what the armed forces mean to you. Images from each of the community areas in Wiltshire, will be chosen for the collage. Follow our social media @SalisburyAFD on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram where we’ll be giving you more information on how to take part and get involved.

A community wide project will create a beautiful art tapestry to mark Armed Forces Day National Event. The pieces will be joined together to create a large piece of art celebrating our armed forces.
