Shortcuts for parent partnership service

The Parent Partnership Service (PPS) at ask is there to help all parents of children with Special Educational Needs.

Does your child aged 0-19 have Special Educational Needs?

Are you worried, confused and unsure what to do next?

Let us help you.

The PPS is part of the local charity ask, who provide advice and services for kids and young people. We have a contract with Wiltshire Council to be the official providers of the statutory Parent Partnership Services for the local education authority.

We support parents and carers with free, impartial advice and information about their child's Special Educational Need (SEN).

Our service to you

  • We can take the time to listen to you and your concerns.
  • We can provide you with a range of information on SEN and identify other services or organisations that may be able to help you.
  • We can assist with paperwork and writing replies.
  • Where appropriate we can accompany you to meetings concerning your child's SEN provision.
  • We can support you in dealing with professionals.

Many enquiries can be dealt with by phone call but others will take more time. Some cases will require long-term support. Whatever the SEN issue, we will work together towards achieving the most appropriate result for your child. Whether your child has just been identified as potentially experiencing Special Educational Needs or is undergoing an Annual Review of Statement of Special Educational Needs, we are here to support and advise.

SEN Parents' Forum

In partnership with Wiltshire Council, PPS run an SEN Parents' Forum. This is a constructive way for parents/carers and voluntary sector groups to discuss SEN related issues with the local authority.. Find out more about the SEN Parents' Forum, and how you can get involved.
