Fortunately, Wiltshire is a low HIV area. As such, Wiltshire County Council does not provide direct services but works with a range of partners to ensure services and advice are available and accessible for children who are infected or affected by HIV. This service is for individuals, family members and carers, of all ages.
We provide information and awareness training to our staff employed by Wiltshire County Council. We have a number of Named Workers who, alongside their day to day duties have expressed an interest in HIV and have agreed to be the link person within a team. They receive information, training and support to enable them in turn to support and advise colleagues working with people infected or affected by HIV.
To make contact either phone the confidential helpline 01225 713927 (with confidential voicemail facility) or email socialservices@wiltshire.gov.uk.
