HERITAGE SERVICES
Many of Wiltshire County Council's heritage resources are available for public use. Anyone can arrange to look at material held in the Wiltshire and Swindon Record Office, the Local Studies Library and the Archaeology Service. In addition, Swindon is home to the National Monuments Record Centre, which contains historical and archaeological information from across the county.

Go to the Wiltshire and Swindon record Office to look at historic documents.
You can reference published material, including newspapers at the County Local Studies Library.
A wealth of information about many Wiltshire buildings from the grand to the ordinary can be found in these archives.
The National Monument Records Centre holds material from all over England.
