Day rover tickets available on buses in Wiltshire
If you are planning a journey involving travel on more than one bus service, you may find that a buying a Day Rover ticket could save you money. The tickets are ideal for those planning a day out using public transport but may also be useful for those making long journeys involving several buses.
The tickets that are available on bus services in Wiltshire are as follows:
The Wiltshire Day Rover Ticket
The Wiltshire Day Rover Ticket can be used to travel on nearly all bus services within Wiltshire on the day of issue, regardless of operator including journeys from Wiltshire to Bath, Cirencester, Hungerford, Southampton, Shaftesbury and Frome (and vice versa).
The ticket costs:
£6.50 adult;
£4.50 child (under 16) or senior citizen (over 60);
£13.00 family (2 adults + up to 2 children or 1 adult & up to 3 children)
Please note that Wiltshire Day Rover tickets CANNOT be used to travel to Bournemouth or Bristol (except on service 635).
Explorer Tickets
Explorer tickets are issued on buses operated by the Stagecoach and Wilts & Dorset bus companies and can be used to travel on bus services provided by both companies, including those operating outside Wiltshire.
The ticket costs:
£6.99 adult;
£3.99 child (under 15)
£4.99 senior citizen (over 60);
£12.99 family (up to 2 adults & 2 children)
Please not that Explorer Tickets sold on Stagecoach buses may be slightly cheaper than the prices shown here.
Please note that in Wiltshire, Explorer tickets cannot normally be used to travel on buses operated by other companies.
First Day Tickets
First Day Tickets are issued on buses operated by the “First” bus company and can be used to travel on bus services provided by that company in Wiltshire, Bath, Bristol, Somerset and Dorset.
The ticket costs
£7.00 adult;
£5.00 child (under 16) or senior citizen (over 60);
£15.00 family (up to 2 adults & 2 children)
Please note that in Wiltshire, First Day tickets cannot normally be used to travel on buses operated by other companies. For more details, please visit the First Somerset & Avon website.
