Four major centres of population in and around Wiltshire operate Park & Ride schemes. They are Salisbury, Swindon, Bath and Bristol. Below are a short summary of the locations and services provided along with the contact information for each site.
Park & Ride provides an easy, affordable and stress-free way of accessing the offices, shops and attractions of Salisbury City Centre.
There are five Park & Ride sites (three current, two planned) for Salisbury. When open, the five sites will serve all the major approaches to the city.
The site situated at the Beehive, north of the city, serves motorists approaching Salisbury between the A345 Amesbury Road and The Portway.
The site serves motorists approaching Salisbury on the A36(W), A30(W) and the A360 from Devizes.
The site serves motorists approaching Salisbury on the A338(S) from Ringwood, and the A354 from Blandford.
This proposed site will provide commuters and visitors coming from south and south-east of Salisbury a fast, frequent and stress-free journey into the city centre. Work is currently underway on a planning application for the site.
The London Road Park and Ride site will provide commuters and visitors coming from east and north-east of Salisbury a fast, frequent and stress-free journey into the city centre. The site is due to open in the Spring of 2006.
