New Look - Annual Highway Maintenance Meetings.
At the end of April we will be springing into action with the ever popular Annual Highway Maintenance Meetings.
This is a great opportunity to find out what the Wiltshire Highways Service will be up to this year in and around the counties road network, and a chance to talk to staff from the services.
The meetings have now been running for four years in which time we have aimed to develop them to meet your needs, and 2008 will be no exception.
This year we are delighted to invite you to meet us at ‘Our Place’, where we will be joined by our friends and colleagues from the District Councils, who we work closely with as part of the Street Scene partnership.
‘Our Place’ will be in the style of an open-day, in your local Highways Depot, hosted by your local Parish Stewards.
As well as meeting the team you will be able to look at some of our machinery and equipment including the latest technology, which we are now using. This includes the most recent versions of our UniMog machines, and Satellite-Tracking system, which identifies the precise location of all of our workforce and their machinery, plus demonstrations of some of the latest machinery and processes used by the District Councils to improve the appearance of all of Wiltshire’s Public spaces, including our Roads & Footways.
Each year we invite two Members of each Parish or Town Council these invitations have already been sent directly to Parish Clerks and Members of the County Council. Please let us know if you are able to attend, by using the response facility included in the letter.
