Wiltshire County Council is committed to increasing walking, cycling, car sharing and public transport for school or college journeys at the expense of the school car run. This will help:
We are now making it easier than ever to find out how you can get to any school in Wiltshire, including independent schools, without using a car. The Council have always provided information about using its arranged school transport, whether completely free of charge or part paying. Now, we are working to provide clear travel information on every school and by talking to the school about their own Travel Plan and the local travel information, a parent / guardian can access all the information needed about their choice of schools.
However, please bear in mind, it will always be far easier, quicker, cheaper, and healthier to choose your nearest school – the further away the school is, the harder it will be to get there!
Use the map below to select your area and school.

See our Strategy for further information on how the Council is working to improve green sustainable travel to all schools in Wiltshire. For more information about this policy email travelplanning@wiltshire.gov.uk
For more personal information supplied by schools themselves, where available you can view their Travel Plan. Contact the school direct to discuss travel with the Headteacher.
A well thought out Travel Plan backed by senior school or college management allows pupils, parents, visitors and staff to travel far more safely, effectively and efficiently and reduce the school gate congestion and complaints from the local community, as well as cut risks of injury and accidents.
