Our services at Christmas: Everything you need to know
The opening times of Wiltshire Council facilities and services will vary over Christmas and New Year. On Christmas Eve many council services will be closed. All council services and facilities will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Wiltshire libraries opening hours
All libraries due to open on Thursday 24 December will close at 1pm or at their usual closing time if that is earlier.
All libraries will be closed on 25, 26, 27 and 28 December and 1 January.
Libraries with additional changes to Christmas opening hours
Aldbourne - Will close at 5pm on Thursday 31 December.
Downton - Will close at 4pm on Tuesday 29 December.
Mobile libraries - Will be off the road on Thursday 24 December.
Residential homes mobile - Will be off the road on 24, 29, 30 and 31 December.
Tidworth - Will be closed on Thursday 31 December.
Waste and recycling collection dates
There will be no waste or recycling collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
There will be catch up collections on Saturday 2 January and Saturday 9 January.
Garden waste collections will be suspended for two weeks from Friday 25 December and will restart on Saturday 9 January for people that would have had a collection on Friday 8 January 2021.
All collections, including garden waste, will return to normal from Monday 11 January 2020.

Household recycling centre opening times
All household recycling centres will be closed on 25 December, 26 December and 1 January.
Only the Amesbury, Marlborough, Melksham and Purton sites will be open on 24 December from 10am and 4pm.
You will need to book a slot online before visiting one of our household recycling centres.
