Electric vehicles

Suggest a public electric vehicle chargepoint location

Where do we need more public chargepoints in Wiltshire? Help us develop our network.

To support growing EV ownership in Wiltshire we're asking residents to suggest new locations for more public EV chargepoints.

For this purpose, we have an interactive map that allows users to pinpoint their suggested locations. The data collected will help identify where public demand exists, guiding the development of future, council funded chargepoint installations on public streets, council car parks and buildings such as village halls and community centres.

All submissions are anonymous; no personal details are required to make a suggestion. You may find it easier to use the map on a desktop or laptop computer.

Every suggestion will be assessed against criteria for new chargepoint sites, which include:

  • demand for public EV charging
  • availability of project funding
  • capacity of the local electrical supply
  • local streetscape and street furniture
  • support from the local community
  • local parking rules and habits

If you want to charge an EV on-street from your home, please read the information on the Home charging webpage.
