The Hearing Process for Appellants

Introduction

This page explains the hearing process for appellants.

Depending on whether there are other appellants appealing for the same school your appeal will be heard either as an individual appeal, or a grouped appeal. Even if your appeal is heard as part of a grouped appeal, the individual circumstances of your case are heard privately. The hearing process for both individual appeals and grouped appeals is described below. When you are given the date of your appeal you will be advised whether it is an individual appeal or a grouped appeal.

The School Admissions Appeals Code 2022 (opens new window) provides the regulations which we follow when administering and hearing school admission appeals.
