Term dates and staff development days
For community and voluntary controlled schools, terms dates are available on our School term dates and holidays page. In all other schools, the governing body decides term dates, and these should be available on their websites.
Staff development days are set by each individual school. There are five in an academic year, and details should be available on school websites.
Unexpected school closures
In the event of unplanned closures, for things like bad weather, schools will notify parents directly. The council does not publish this information.
