Food waste
You cannot put food waste in your garden waste bin. You may want to consider purchasing a food waste composter, for more information, see: .
Windfall fruit
We use open air windrow composting for garden waste, which is cost-effective and eco-friendly. Including food waste such as windfall fruit would require expensive upgrades to meet environmental regulations and BSI PAS100 standards.
Disposal of invasive weeds
Advice on how to dispose of invasive weeds can be found on the Government website: GOV.UK: How to stop Japanese knotweed from spreading (opens new window) or GOV.UK: Stop ragwort and other harmful weeds from spreading (opens new window).
