How to make your own compost
Making your own compost at home is an easy and eco-friendly process which can help to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
You can make your own compost at home by:
- buying a compost bin from most garden centres, DIY stores or Household Recycling Centres (HRCs)

- purchasing Subsidised food waste composters which can compost all cooked and uncooked food waste and garden waste
Compost produced from garden waste and HRC collections can be purchased in small bags from Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) or in larger volumes by visiting Hills Waste Solutions (opens new window).
