Section 58 - Kilmington Common, Kilmington

New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Section 58, Notice of Substantial Road Works

1. Three months advance notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to carry out substantial road works.
2. The street in which these works will take place is: Kilmington Common, Butts lane and Cote lane, Kilmington. The work is expected to affect the entire footway of: Butts Lane for approximately 30 meters in a North Easterly direction. Kilmington Common from its junction with Butts Lane to approximately 57 meters from its junction with Silk Houses in a southerly direction and Cote Lane from its junction with Kilmington Common for approximately 15 meters in an easterly direction. (Coordinates 377265, 135726 to 377106, 136219). 
3. Work is expected to commence on the 28 October and the restriction will come into force on the 2 November 2024.
4. The works notified will include the following: Footway resurfacing and associated maintenance works.
5. Subject to the exemptions in the Acts and Regulations under it, no road or street works may be executed for a period of two years from completion of the works described in Paragraph 4 without the consent of the said highway authority, which is not to be unreasonably withheld.
