Families and Children's Volunteering
Interested in volunteering? We have a number of roles that may appeal to you in supporting children, young people and young adults.
We are looking for people who are:
- Aged 18 or over
- Able to engage with children, young people, and young adults
- Empathetic, supportive, and empowering
- Open minded, respectful, and non-judgemental
- Patient, able to remain calm, flexible, committed, and reliable
- Good communicators, have common sense, a sense of fun and the willingness to try something new
- Supportive and able to help people reach their identified goals
- Able to support children's rights
- Able to develop confidence, resilience and build on self-esteem
- Understanding of issues facing children and young people today
- Willing to participate in initial and ongoing training and support
- Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children, young people and young adults
- Able to keep basic records
- Preferably able to drive as it can limit the roles that can be undertaken
