Information for Town and Parish clerks
Town and parish council elections take place on Thursday 6 May 2021 for all the seats in the respective councils. Several towns and parishes are split into wards, which makes a total of 307 electoral areas within the Wiltshire Council local authority area.
Please visit our May 2021 Elections page for election information. Statutory notices will be published on this page for town/parish clerks to download and display in their local parish areas.
As with all the election processes, we will be following the current Government advice regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in order to keep our staff and the public safe. It is important that any person who will be involved with the election process also follows this advice and adheres to the requirements set out for each of the election processes. This will include the wearing of face masks, hand sanitising and maintain social distancing.
Town and parish boundaries
Some of the town and parish areas have been affected by the recent electoral review of the Wiltshire Council unitary division boundaries conducted by the Local Boundary Commission for England. This means that town and parish ward boundary lines may have changed and will come into effect for the May 2021 elections.
Some town and parish boundaries have also been amended to reflect changes made by the recent Community Governance Review.
