Unitary elections

Wiltshire Council local authority area is divided into 98 areas known as divisions and each is represented by one Councillor.  All 98 seats will become vacant for May 2021 elections.

As part of an electoral review of the division boundaries conducted by the Local Boundary Commission for England recently, many of the division areas will change for the May 2021 elections.

Guidance for candidates and agents

UK Government has laid legislation to reduce the number of subscribers for nominations for Unitary elections.

The Electoral Commission have temporarily removed all nomination packs from their website and will update their guidance in due course.
