Everyday maths

Nicola Crompton, Multiply Libraries Development Officer (opens new window), will be visiting libraries to hold drop-in sessions to help with everyday maths.

If you are struggling to understand your budget, support your children with homework or want to improve your skills for work, Nicola can help point you in the right direction.

There is no need to book, just turn up.  If you'd prefer to book a one-to-one session, email libraryenquiries@wiltshire.gov.uk (opens new window) or ask a member of the library team.

We hold monthly Numeracy rhyme times at the following libraries. 

These rhyme times are similar to our weekly rhyme times but with a numeracy theme. All sessions are free. Contact your local library to find out more.

We have joined up with the Early Years Advisory Teachers to put together 'Rhyme time at home activity' sheets.  These are useful handouts that give you helpful hints on how to support your children with their maths.    

If you have missed picking up a copy at rhyme time, ask a member of the library team for a copy.

If you are over 19 years old, and do not currently have Level 2/GCSE maths at grade 4 (previously known as a C grade), there are free courses available for adults on Work Wiltshire - Multiply (workwiltshire.co.uk) (opens new window). The courses range from beginner to GCSE level.

This includes online learning from Prospect (opens new window) to help you to brush up your skills and improve your confidence. Complete as many of the below modules as you'd like in your own time for free.
