Single view - how we use your information

Organisations that serve the public hold a lot of information individually about residents, but there is potential to be more joined up to help deliver a better, safer, and more responsive service to the public.

We are working with our partners in the public sector to share more information between us. We call this approach Single View. Our Single View programme aims to encourage more sharing of appropriate information between public sector organisations.

Only the right information will be given to the right people at the right time. Information will not be shared with anyone who should not have access to it.

Joining up the data we hold about you will bring with it a number of benefits. The aspiration is that you will only have to tell your story once instead of having to relay the same information to different organisations. We will be able to access your data in a quicker way, and the information we hold about you will be the most relevant and up-to-date.

We will only ever share your information in a way that is safe and appropriate. Nobody will be able to access your data unless they have a need to do so. We will hold your data securely and it will never be given to a third party without your consent or a legal reason to do so.

We believe you will receive a much better and safer service from each of the organisations you come into contact with by allowing us to share your information in an appropriate way. Information sharing will be limited to residents living in Wiltshire.
