Tidworth swimming timetable

Reopening swimming pool timetable - Summer 2020

Effective from Monday 21 September

This an initially reduced programme for reopening after COVID-19 in accordance to Swim England guidelines.

We have reduced capacities in the main pool swimming sessions to 18, with three double-width lanes in use; a slower lane, medium lane and a faster lane.

The family swim sessions at the weekend in the splash / learner pool will initially be limited to 8 in each pool. Adult: child ratio for these sessions will be 1:1.

Please come to the swimming pool ready to swim, with your swimming costume on underneath your outside clothes, as changing rooms will not be available on your way in (although there will be access to toilets if required). You'll be allocated a space on poolside for your personal belongings while you're swimming.

After your session there will be individual cubicles available within the changing rooms for your use which will be explained to you by a member of staff. Showers and lockers will not be in use at this time.

Please ensure you use Online Leisure Bookings as this will help us to control and manage usage.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Children's swimming in main pool

Children can attend lane swimming sessions as follows:

  • Over 8's - if they can swim 2 consecutive lengths, and adhere to lane swimming principles, they can book and swim either with a responsible adult, or with a responsible adult remaining within the immediate vicinity of the leisure centre
  • Under 8's - if they can 2 consecutive lengths, and adhere to lane swimming principles, they can book and swim with a responsible adult in the swimming pool with them.

We do hope to have more family friendly sessions available soon, but lane swimming enables us to open with swimming pools whilst maximising our ability to promote social distancing.
