Warminster Sports Centre improvement works

We are making improvements to enhance the fitness facilities at Warminster Leisure Centre

We have plans to enhance the fitness facilities at Warminster Sports Centre, and work is due to start shortly.

A contractor has been secured for the project and they will be on site from Monday 4 November setting up site accommodation. This will result in some loss of car parking spaces during the duration of the project. Work is due to start in the centre on Monday 11 November.

Our plans in Warminster include.  

Relocated, enlarged and improved fitness suite, making it much more accessible
Refurbished studios
Consultation room 
Old fitness suite converted to flexible space for instructor led classes and events such as meetings and parties

The current gym will remain in use while the new gym is being constructed and there will be no change to swimming pool access or changing.
There will be some disruption to our group exercise class programme during the project, with a few less classes available and classes being relocated to the main sports hall - but there will be more provision at Leighton Sports Centre in Westbury to offset this:

All classes are bookable at either leisure centre or online on our Leisure Hub (opens new window) website.

As previously confirmed, the squash courts will be permanently removed at Warminster Sports Centre as a result of these works with customers encouraged to use the facilities at Leighton Recreation Centre, which is just a short distance away.

Next steps

The project is due to be complete in the Spring of 2025 and we will provide additional updates as and when necessary, between now and then. We will also provide some updates and images on our Facebook page, so please follow us if you're not already.

We will do our best to minimise impact for you as much as possible while this project is carried out, but there will inevitably be some disruption. However, we are confident you will be delighted with the end result.
