New Trowbridge leisure centre
We are committed to providing improved leisure services in Trowbridge by constructing a brand-new leisure centre in the town.
We have carried out a detailed review of what the current physical activity opportunities are in Trowbridge, to help identify which additional services and facilities might help people to be more active.
In May 2023 we were able to confirm that East Wing, across the road from County Hall, is our preferred location for the new leisure centre. We were also able to confirm the proposed facilities for the centre.
As part of the pre-planning process, in June 2024 we carried out further public and stakeholder engagement to inform people of our plans and receive feedback.
Planning application submitted
In September 2024 we formally submitted a planning application to build the new facility on the East Wing site in Trowbridge. The planning application no. is PL/2024/08255 and the consultation deadline is 11 October 2024.
