- Employers Recruiting
The event is aimed at 18 - 24-year-olds who are looking for employment in Wiltshire. Young Work Wiltshire is part of Wiltshire Council which is supporting the event.
Young people interested in attending the event can register at Learn Live UK: Home page (opens new window).
A sample of employers will talk about local employment opportunities and more information will be provided about the government's Kickstart programme. Job searching support tools will also be shared.
Cllr Laura Mayes, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills said: There are young people out there who are unsure what they want to do in terms of education or career and need support to look at the opportunities available to them. This has been a challenging year for all young people and this will be a great chance to message in questions, hear from people in the workplace and come away with some ideas on next steps.
Further support after the event can be found on the Work Wiltshire virtual youth hub (opens new window).
The kickstart scheme (opens new window) is a government scheme which provides funding for employers to create jobs for 16 - 24-year-olds on Universal Credit.
