Full STEAM ahead for the next generation of innovators
The next generation of innovators, creators and problem solvers walked through the doors at County Hall today as Wiltshire Council hosted a STEAM fair for pupils, teachers and school leaders
Visitors had the opportunity to explore, and be inspired by, curriculum-linked Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) activities and exhibits displayed in the Atrium, County Hall.
The fair on 25 February had a variety of stands and exhibits showcasing STEAM from external providers for school children.
There was also a range of council traded services exhibiting to show off the support which can be provided to school leaders.
Cllr Pauline Church, Cabinet Member for Children, Education and Skills said:
This event will enthuse teachers, school leaders and pupils to see STEAM as providing an exciting, rewarding and creative career to young children.
The Engineering Fair in 2018 was very successful so as a result of that triumph, Learning Resources Hub is holding this second event. it will shine the light on the interesting and fun side of engineering and will encourage the youth to participate and learn more about STEAM and what it involves.
The event will also host STEAM TeachMeet an opportunity for school leaders, teachers and educationalists to share good practice and connect with organisations that can help deliver inspirational experiences to pupils in the classroom.
