System issues affecting history centre
Unfortunately, due to reasons out of our control, there are some power issues at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre which are affecting their systems. This means a number of the centre's services are currently unavailable such as the phone line, wi-fi and the People's Network.
You are still more then welcome to visit the centre and staff there will do everything they can to deal with any requests, such as providing index cards and hard copy of catalogues, which will assist anyone searching for particular documents.
If you have an urgent enquiry please telephone the temporary phone number of 07341479806, but otherwise we advise you to email us as normal.
Our Copy Certificate Service based at the centre is offering a slightly reduced service during this time but phone and email queries are being responded to, so please get in touch if you need to and they should be able to help. You can call them on 0300 003 4571 or email certificates@wiltshire.gov.uk (opens new window).
We have been informed these issues could affect the centre for a few days and we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding during this time. Please keep an eye on the Wiltshire Council website and our social media platforms for updates on the situation.
