Changes to bus times over Christmas

Wiltshire Council is advising passengers to check bus times carefully over the festive period.

As usual, no buses will be running on Christmas Day and only a very small number of bus routes will operate on Boxing Day and 1 January (these will be mainly in the Salisbury, Amesbury, Tidworth, Calne and Royal Wootton Bassett areas).

In addition, some buses operated by the Coachstyle, Stagecoach and First bus companies will be running to Saturday timetables on the week days before and after Christmas, instead of using their normal weekday schedules.

Phil Groocock, Wiltshire Council's bus network manager, said: "To help bus users understand how bus services will be running over the Christmas and new year holiday period, we have produced a series of posters explaining the arrangements that will apply in each area of Wiltshire between 23 December and 3 January. These are on display at the main bus stops in each town and can also be downloaded from the Connecting Wiltshire (opens new window) Website.
