Wiltshire Council is continuing its series of community events across the county where people can ask questions and find out more about the work of the council, with the next event taking place in Trowbridge next month.

Events are being held in each community area so that they are convenient to attend and questions are relevant to the local area.

People are encouraged to ask any questions about the council, its objectives and priorities, and the challenges ahead. The events are an opportunity to put questions directly to the Leader of the Council, Cllr Richard Clewer, and hear his thoughts and plans for the future.

The next event will take place in the Cotswold Space at County Hall, Trowbridge on 21 June from 6pm to 7.30pm.

The last event took place in Salisbury on 17 May where residents shared their views on local issues and asked questions about a wide variety of council services and projects. Previous events took place in Chippenham, Devizes and Westbury.

Cllr Richard Clewer, Leader of Wiltshire Council, said: "Thank you to everyone who came along to the last Ask the Leader of the Council event in Salisbury. It was really valuable to hear more about key local issues and discuss possible solutions. I have taken actions away from these discussions and I will update on our progress in due course.

"The next event takes place in Trowbridge on 21 June and I would encourage residents to come along to ask me any questions and find out more about the work we are doing.

"These events are a great way to ensure our priorities reflect those of local communities. If you can't make the event but would still like to ask a question, you can submit it in advance to communications@wiltshire.gov.uk (opens new window)"
