Wiltshire Council is supporting businesses in the county with a series of free online webinars to offer help, support and advice to guide businesses through the current economic challenges.
The webinars are hosted by The Enterprise Network (TEN), which was set up by the council in 2012 as a consequence of the 2008 recession to provide flexible, subsidised, start up and incubation space for small business and entrepreneurs in their formative years. TEN also works with a range of partners to deliver and facilitate funded and paid for programmes to support emerging and established businesses.
TEN has partnered with The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) to create this online webinar series aptly named Take TEN.
The webinars, which are perfect for both business owners and entrepreneurs showcase the range of support available across several themes that may be affecting their business during these challenging times.
The series introduces several organisations and local businesses owners to talk through some of the practical steps that can be taken to ensure the health of businesses, with additional sources of support and the wealth of resource available at FSB to both members and non-members alike.
The first in this series is Marketing in Tough Times by Padua Communications, which was held on 17 November and can now be viewed on demand. Other videos cover key topics such as cashflow, funding, workplace health and wellbeing, upskilling your team, generating sales leads, and recruitment.
Cllr Richard Clewer, Leader of Wiltshire Council and Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said: We know how challenging the current financial climate is for all businesses in Wiltshire, and that's why we're doing all we can to support them through these troubled times.
I'd encourage all small businesses and entrepreneurs to attend these webinars or watch the videos afterwards for important tips and tricks that will help them navigate the choppy waters ahead.
As set out in our business plan, we are committed to supporting Wiltshire businesses, and we have done this over the past few difficult years, most recently through the administration of £183m in COVID grants, plus Future High Street Funds and Welcome Back Funding.
We'll continue to do all we can to support Wiltshire's businesses through these difficult times.
