Partial closures of Emery Gate car park in Chippenham to start in January 2022

Wiltshire Council will be temporarily closing areas within Emery Gate car park in Chippenham from 16 January 2022 until the end of July, to carry out essential structural works.

Wiltshire Council will be temporarily closing areas within Emery Gate car park in Chippenham from 16 January 2022 until the end of July, to carry out essential structural works.

These works will be carried out in stages to reduce disruption and to ensure alternative parking is still available for use. To assist customers traffic management processes and appropriate signage will be displayed in the car park.

The nearby Sadlers Mead car park will also be available as an alternative car park for the duration of the works.

Cllr Dr Mark McClelland, Wiltshire Council Cabinet Member for Cabinet Member for Transport, said: While we hope to keep disruption and inconvenience to a minimum, these works and closures are essential to complete structural works in the car park. Other car parks are be available for the public and will be made clearly visible with appropriate signage.
