Public exhibition to showcase updated designs of refurbished Trowbridge Town Hall
Throughout March, local residents and businesses will be able to see the updated designs, floor plans and images of how Trowbridge Town Hall could look after the extensive remodelling and refurbishment takes place.
These works form part of the £16 million investment in Trowbridge through the government's Future High Streets Fund which aims to breathe new life into the town centre.
The exhibition will be available to view in the Gallery at Trowbridge Town Hall until Thursday 30 March. Although the exhibition will not be staffed, there are several ways for people to have their queries answered. The Town Hall staff will be more than happy to help answer general queries and the more detailed questions about the refurbishment and remodelling of the Town Hall can be emailed to FHSFTownHall@wiltshire.gov.uk (opens new window).
Cllr Richard Clewer, Leader of Wiltshire Council, said: "The significant investment in restoring this grand building is supporting one of our key aims of helping to create and support vibrant town centres. So it's fantastic to see the designs develop so this landmark asset can have an exciting future and remain as a hub of activity at the heart of the town. It's important that we make the best use of such historic assets so I would encourage people to pop to the Town Hall, have a look at the exhibition and raise any queries they may have."
Alan Wright, Director of the Trowbridge Town Hall Trust added, "With just five months to go before we close the Town Hall temporarily for the refurbishment, we would love as many people as possible to familiarise themselves with the plans for the building. Although the exhibition will not have a permanent member of our team on hand, if you have a question don't hesitate to ask any staff members who you will find in our office on the ground floor."
