Storm Dennis updates

Published 13 February 2020

Our highways crews have been responding to Storm Dennis-related issues throughout the weekend.

Although the wind is subsiding, there are still  Yellow Warnings (opens new window) in place for heavy rain and strong winds this weekend, with likely disruption to travel.

With the ground already saturated, the heavy rain could result in localised flooding.

Please keep a close eye on forecasts (opens new window)  and take care if you are out and about due to the possibility of fallen trees and other debris that may be on the roads and paths. Our advice, as always, is to please drive to the conditions and adhere to any road closure signage.

You can be kept up to date of any potential flooding risks, by signing up for alerts with the Environment Agency (opens new window).

We will update this page if there is any significant disruption to Wiltshire Council services and highways. You can also follow Twitter: Wiltshire Council (opens new window) for updates.

To report a fallen tree on amenity land or any other minor highways issues, please use our My Wilts online reporting or the MyWilts app.

Please call 0300 456 0105 if there is a highways emergency - such as a tree down blocking a highway. If there's any danger to life please call 999.

 Here are other useful numbers.
