Transformed changing rooms ready to make a splash at Lime Kiln Leisure Centre
With redecoration works complete, the refreshed changing rooms at Lime Kiln Leisure Centre in Royal Wootton Bassett have reopened for use

With redecoration works complete, the refreshed changing rooms at Lime Kiln Leisure Centre in Royal Wootton Bassett have reopened for use today (Monday 29 July).
The swimming pool changing rooms have been closed for a six-week period to allow for a full redecoration of the area, brand-new flooring, cubicles, lockers and baby changing units, plus the installation of an additional family and disabled changing cubicle.
Further improvements were also made in other areas in the centre, including:
- redecoration works plus new flooring and storage cubicles for equipment in the swimming pool hall,
- air conditioning installation and redecoration of the ground floor studio,
- redecoration works and replacement flooring and lighting in the entrance porch and main corridor.
Cllr Ian Blair-Pilling, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: We are pleased to be re-opening the refurbished and refreshed changing rooms at Lime Kiln, and we think that the improvements we've made there and throughout the building will have a really positive impact on the customer experience.
We are investing significantly in our facilities across the county to try and motivate people to keep physically, socially and mentally active and increase their activities.
We thank the customers for their patience and flexibility whilst the works took place, coming to the centre swim-ready and sticking with us. We hope that they agree that the new changing rooms are a much nicer environment.
The works have been completed as part of the council's investment in its leisure centres across the county. Improvement projects are also being undertaken at Olympiad Leisure Centre, Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre, in Salisbury, Devizes Leisure Centre, Marlborough Leisure Centre and Warminster Sports Centre. Progress is also being made on developing a new leisure centre for Trowbridge.
A two-week offer on Swim Zone memberships is available at the centre now to encourage people to come and try out the new facilities. People who join now will pay no admin fee, saving themselves £25.
