The webinar takes place on 11 February from 6pm - 7pm and will be an opportunity for those considering standing for election and their representatives to hear from the Wiltshire Council election team directly, including the Returning Officer, and have their questions answered.

On 1 May Wiltshire residents will go to the polls as they will be asked to vote for candidates in the Wiltshire Council Unitary Election as well as town and parish elections.

People can sign up to attend by visiting Local Elections 2025 Candidates & Agents Webinar (opens new window).

Returning Officer for Wiltshire, Lucy Townsend said: This will be a useful session for all those considering standing for election this year. We'll have people on hand to answer questions and talk through the nomination process and everything to consider so that the election is as smooth an experience as possible for everyone involved. We want to give people insight into the role of a local councillor and also make the nomination process as smooth as it can be so keen to provide as much guidance as possible.

We want Wiltshire to be a strong democratic county, so I encourage as many prospective candidates and agents to sign up as possible and we look forward to speaking with them.
