Wiltshire Council is working in partnership with Provide Digital to launch a digital eC-Card app to help young people in Wiltshire find distributing locations for free condoms. The app also supports young people to make informed decisions on their sexual health and wellbeing.

The initiative is an extension of the No Worries service which offers 13 - 24 -year-old Wiltshire residents advice and support around sexual health, pregnancy testing, emergency hormonal contraception, chlamydia testing and treatment and condom distribution.

Young people are not required to be registered with a No Worries GP practice to make an appointment for advice and support and can discreetly pick up condoms from specific locations including GP Surgeries and pharmacies.

Kate Blackburn, Director for Public Health for Wiltshire, said: This app will ensure young people can make informed decisions about their sexual health and wellbeing, which is relevant throughout a person's life.

Our No Worries sexual health service provides a confidential service for young people, offering trusted advice and support around sexual health, emergency contraception, free condoms, pregnancy testing and chlamydia self-testing kits.

Empowering young people to have a respectful approach and positive outlook to sexuality and sexual relationships is an important part of personal development.

This discreet service creates a safe space for young people to ask questions and learn about how to keep themselves and others safe.

A priority in our Business Plan is to provide support to young people particularly as they enter adulthood as well as improve sexual health and this eC-Card app is an example of work that we're doing to achieve this.

No Worries was recently recommissioned with additional Wiltshire providers now delivering the service.

The council aims to onboard more condom distributors as part of the eC-Card app, these could be non-clinical settings such as schools, colleges, and libraries. If people are interested in signing up to be a condom distributor venue they should contact noworries.nhswiltshire@nhs.net.

More information about the No Worries service, including a list of providing locations, is available at Sexual health or people can contact No Worries at noworries.nhswiltshire@nhs.net
