Wiltshire Council's new website goes live on 25 August

Wiltshire Council will tomorrow (Tuesday 25 August) launch its new website.
All information from the old website has been moved across to a new platform with improved security, accessibility and reliability making it easier for our residents to find the information they need. Whilst the site will look different, the content remains the same following the first phase of the project.
The new website will be aligned to the GOV.UK (opens new window) format to improve the customer experience.
The next phase of the project is to review and rewrite content to reduce the number of pages and ensure residents can find information simply, quickly and easily. By making these improvements the council hopes to reduce demand on customer services staff by ensuring residents can complete transactions easily online.
Cllr Ian Blair-Pilling, Cabinet Member ICT and Digitalisation, Wiltshire Council, said:
The new website design aims to make the site simpler, easier to use and more functional. The completion of the first phase means we have now moved to a platform that is more secure which was a priority. In the next phase we shall focus on making it easier for residents to find the information they need.
Following COVID-19 we have seen a huge increase in council webpage visits, so it is more important than ever to ensure we have a reliable and effective website.
